Sensex closed 49 pts lower 23 Nov, 2015

The native equity market traded rangebound through the day, as investors remained cautious ahead of the expiry of October series F&O contracts. The BSE Sensex seesawed between gains & losses before closing 49 pts, or 0.2 per-cent, lower at 25,819.

The 50-stock barometer Nifty 50 closed with losses of 7 pts, or 0.09 per-cent, at 7,849. Vedanta & Hindalco were the top most losers on the BSE benchmark, went down 4 per-cent each on the BSE's move to exclude the scrips from its benchmark index W.e.f Dec 21.
