1:38 p.m.: Broader markets were also facing the heat of selling pressure. The BSE mid-cap index was down 1.2 per cent and the small-cap index fell 1.4 per cent.
Latest Updates - The Nifty fell over 100 pts to slip below its crucial psychological level of 8,400 led by losses in IT, metal, banking and capital goods stocks while Sensex was down 250 points.

1:20 p.m.: BSE Realty index slumps 4.2 per-cent; Indiabulls Real Estate, DLF, Ashiana Housing, HDIL, Godrej Properties, Unitech and Sobha were among the laggards, down 2.6-9.2 per-cent each.
At 1 O' Clock : Bank Nifty falls 1.7 per-cent; Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, IndusInd Bank, State Bank of India, Yes Bank and Axis Bank were among the losers, down 1.6-5.6 per cent each.
